Shipping/Receiving Operator

Description:

The Shipping/Receiving Operator position at Cargill is responsible for efficiently handling the receipt and shipment of products in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment. This role plays a key part in maintaining the smooth flow of materials and products within the company’s operations while adhering to strict safety and food quality standards. The position supports Cargill’s commitment to delivering high-quality food products as part of their protein and salt business unit.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing shipments by receiving, labeling, and storing products in designated areas.
• Ensure products are correctly placed into the warehouse or shipment pallets following established protocols.
• Utilize electric pallet jacks or forklifts to efficiently transport goods to and from storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate product quantities for each order.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain smooth operational flow.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in operating electric pallet jacks and forklifts is required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle time-sensitive tasks.
• Adherence to all safety, food handling, and operational guidelines.
• Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in the shipping/receiving processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety standards.

Nice-to-haves:

• Bilingual skills are an advantage.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Experience operating high-reach forklifts or other warehouse machinery is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse or production setting.
• Experience in managing teams or leading operational processes in a warehouse environment.
